Pleasing to my soul that the sounds that rocked 20 years back still rock today and once again we have those strings getting tugged by Freaks in the most delicious fashion. There are some other mixes on this package. I do not care. This all about the Johnny D rework. A complete melting pot of styles and ideas that thankfully combine to eargasm rather than splitting into a lumpy mess of fail-mayo. Rolling beats and bompty bassline scream Tech House, but then you've got the retro House vocal flying over the top, little bits of Prince funk flair, and a completely delirious breakdown full of stupidly pitched up vocal snippets and organ licks. Also in the realm of small things that make a big difference to me, it has to be the incessant crowd "WU-WA-WU-BAA!" that keeps pushing and pushing and pushing the track along.
